Gear: Denali DM vs D2 LED Spot/Fog lights 4K

I was interested in getting some spotlights for my CRF300 Rally to both see by and also to be seen by other road users. I have the LED spots on my GS, and even when driving, I find bikes with the extra lights easier to see.

I know there are many cheaper options around, but I thought I'd try one of the leading products, Denali. They come at a price but are very well made and have a long standing reputation. I wasn't looking to illuminate a sports pitch, so I looked at their two smallest offerings, the DM and D2 spotlights. From the online information I could find, they have the same light output, draw the same power, and have the same LED element. The DM's are smaller and lighter, and the D2's are significantly more expensive. So I wondered what the difference was.

I thought perhaps others would have the same question, so I bought both, and this video is a quick look in the boxes and also a comparison of the two (not on a bike, that will come later).
