Embassy is a little harder than other maps because most of the action is close quarters. You'll notice I use my peek and I also shoot from the hip a lot. In my opinion, to be able to effectively shoot from the hip is not only a matter of living or dying but it's a staple in my game style. Since I use a drum mag, I don't really have to worry about conserving ammo. I also don't use the selective fire switch on my weapon, I just do it manually. Saves time and in all honesty it just works better for me.

You'll notice I tend to stop a lot and it may appear that I'm not doing anything. What I'm doing is listening. One of my strengths in FPS is my hearing. I use it to my advantage, big time.

If you want to learn how to shoot from the hip more effectively, simply attach a laser dot on the weapon so you can learn where your hip fire is going to land. Learn it, then remove it. Once you get that down, you are one step ahead of the other guy who has to take that half second to aim down the sight to open fire on you. Using the laser dot in game pretty much gives away your position, that is, if the player you are playing against understands how the laser dot works.

Yeah, shooting from the hip will drain your ammo, but if you are accurate, you're alive and he's dead. Since the drum mag takes too long to reload, I'll do it in the smoke screen or find a safe place to reload. A few times in this run if I hadn't shot from the hip and I took that half second to sight in, I would have been killed.

If you blow up the cache too early, meaning, if there are more than half the enemy still left to kill, when that cache blows, they are going to rush you so hard, you may not survive. I try to take out as many as I can before I blow it up. Remember that when it blows they tend to stack up on the destroyed cache so it is possible to set a trap for the group coming to kill you. cough C4
