When cars are parked on pavements, people with vision impairments, wheelchair users, parents with prams, and older people are often forced to step into the road just to get by. This is one of the biggest barriers to walking safely and independently for a person with a vision impairment.

81% of people with sight loss said that reducing obstacles on pavements and street clutter was important to improving their quality of life. Pavement parking laws are inconsistent across the UK, so we need a clear, standardised law that makes pavement parking the exception, not the norm.
