Assalamualaikum and welcome back to Homebird. In today’s video, I’m sharing my extreme kitchen cleaning routine — something I do every now and then to bring peace and freshness back into my home. As a homemaker, I believe the kitchen is the heart of every home, and when it’s clean and organized, it brings a special kind of comfort. A clean kitchen really does make the whole home feel happier.
This isn’t a perfect or fancy routine — just the real way I clean my desi kitchen as a Pakistani housewife. Whether you're living in Pakistan, India, or far from home in the UK, Europe, or the US, I hope this video gives you realistic motivation to clean and care for your own space. I started from the basics: clearing the countertops, washing dishes, wiping the stove, and tackling all those greasy spots that build up over time. The stovetop especially gets very oily from daily cooking, so I used my favorite multipurpose spray and scrubbers to remove the stubborn grease. I also cleaned the backsplash and wiped down all the cabinets from top to bottom, especially around the stove where it usually gets the dirtiest.
As I went through the cleaning, I also took some time to organize things that get messy easily, like the spice rack, the under-sink area, and small storage items on the counter. I used a few of my most trusted and useful kitchen tools that help make daily work easier — things like microfiber cloths, dish drying mats, oil-proof stove liners, and small storage baskets. These items are very budget-friendly and easy to find in Pakistan and India, and for those of you abroad, you can find similar things online too. I personally love using simple tools that save time and effort. They don’t have to be expensive — just useful and practical for daily life.
Throughout the video, I tried to share small tips I’ve learned from experience — like how to clean greasy corners, how to keep the sink fresh, and how to make the kitchen look tidy even on a busy day. I know many of us feel tired with housework, and some days we don’t even know where to start. That’s okay. I made this video to help someone take that first step. Even if you clean just one part of the kitchen today, it’s still something, and it will give you a good feeling inside.
This video is for anyone who loves homemaking, or who just wants a bit of quiet motivation. Whether you’re a housewife like me, a busy mom, or a student living in a small apartment, I hope you find something useful here. We all want a clean, calm space — and I truly believe that a little effort in the kitchen can make the whole home feel lighter and happier.
