Joe Romano is a seasoned education leader with a career spanning diverse roles in the K-12 and higher education sectors. With extensive experience as a Principal, Vice Principal, Instructional Technology Coach, and Teacher with the Toronto District School Board, Joe has driven transformative initiatives that foster student success, educator development, and systemic improvement.

Currently, as the Associate Director of Learning Innovation & Continuous Improvement at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, Joe leads strategic efforts to enhance professional learning and collaboration within the K-12 ecosystem. His work focuses on building relationships, aligning professional development initiatives with market needs, and leveraging innovative practices to drive impactful change through cycles of improvement.

Joe’s academic credentials include a Master of Education specializing in Virtual World Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Visual Art Honours Specialist. In addition, Joe is an OCT licensed professional (PQP, Junior/Intermediate/Senior Divisions and Special Education).
