The story of Lazarus of Bethany is one of three accounts where Jesus raised someone from the dead. This powerful narrative reminds us that Jesus is never late.

In verse 5, we learn that Jesus deeply loved Lazarus and his family, often staying with them. Naturally, they expected Him to come immediately when Lazarus fell ill. But God’s timing is not our timing, and Jesus’ delay in coming demonstrates this truth beautifully.

When you’re under attack or facing challenges, it’s easy to lose heart—praying less, giving up, or praying with diminished faith. Have you experienced moments where your dreams, goals, or plans seemed to die? If so, let this be a word of encouragement: God’s delays are not His denials. Trust in His perfect timing, for He is always working for your good. The truth is revealed.
