Black Belt Eagle Scout is the only queer North American Indigenous indie rock band that I know of. Their latest album The Land, The Water, The Sky is amazing and I think Katherine Paul's voice is better than Kim Deal's (sorry Kim- I still love you too). BBES was the opening act for Sleater-Kinney @ The Palace and this was one of those sets that I wish could have been at least twice as long. Be sure to catch "Soft Stud" - the set closer. Amazing stuff.
