First Landing & Takeoff of a CRJ1000 in Bern, Switzerland!

Witness history in the making! The first-ever landing of a CRJ-1000 in Bern, Switzerland took place on April 12, 2024. An aviation milestone for the Swiss capital! It was a great moment for aviation enthusiasts in Bern as they welcomed this remarkable aircraft for the very first time.

The pilots greeted with a friendly wave! Iberia Regional by Air Nostrum now operates a weekly holiday charter flight to Palma de Mallorca. The aircraft measures 39.13 meters long, while the Bern Airport runway is only 30 meters wide. But no worries, there is a widening at the end of the runway for the big bird to safely turn around. One of the largest planes to touch down here!
