Lane Cove, Light Jigs, Jewfish - Sydney River fishing

While Ive been enjoying chasing Kingfish and Bonito all summer, casting big lures endlessly has gotten old, SO I've started fishing on of my my favourite spots near my home,
Woodford Bay Reserve in Lanecove.
I like it because you can fish some rocky edges, sand flats AND boat moorings if you are willing to get a little wet and there seems to be an enormous amount of bait in the system.

I cast for two or so hours after work catching countless tailor, a Flathead, Mullet and my first Jewfish!

the setup I used on the day was
Yamaga blank BlueCurrent Ⅲ 82/B #yamagablanks
Shimano Stradic 2500 #shimanostradic
spooled with 8lb Berkley X8
Daiawa FC 10lb leader

lures - the jigs are great value for light tackle, and cost about 10-15$ for 10... shipping is a few weeks though.
