How does the meaning of signs pertain to the meaning subjects may want their actions to have or realize? Does it at all? If it does, is it an achievement of agency or an instance of control? How should it be conceived of in the context of political coordination?

In this IAPSS Political Theory SRC lecture held on 30th July 2022, Jendrik Hilgerloh-Nuske introduces four theories from the field of semiotics.
