Описание к видео Steam Adventure - With SNCF 241-A-65 into the "Seeland"

This movie shows a ride with the coal powered SNCF 241-A-65 steam engine from Stein-Säckingen at the Rhine River to Aarberg in the center of the Swiss "Seeland" region. The train runs upgrade through the Frick Valley to Bözberg Pass, then downgrade to Brugg and onwards to Othmarsingen on the busy Zurich - Bern mainline. From there, the train runs via Aarau - Olten to Oensingen, where the tender is replenished with water. At the foot of the Jura Mountains, the engine is speeding via Solothurn to Biel-Bienne. After switching the engine to the other end, it runs tender first to Lyss on the Biel - Bern secondary line. Once again, the engine is moved to the other side of the train to pull us onwards to Aarberg, a short 10km run from Lyss. Here our journey ends. The video was shot on September 4th, 2015.

Enjoy watching this great ride with Europe's largest coal fired fast train steam engine still in operation.
