Immixtus Motifs for B flat trumpet [Solo Unaccompanied] - Scott Ostrander

Immixtus Motifs is a showpiece for the advanced trumpeter. Although not the most challenging work in the solo trumpet literature, this composition has multiple technical demands. The style is similar to a fantasia or fantasy and is more improvisatory in nature. It features several contrasting motifs next to one another, yet does not follow a strict musical form. A little over 4 and a half minutes long, this work is an excellent recital piece for trumpeters to develop range, dynamic control, endurance and more.
