Burns Harbor Arriving Out of the Dark

Burns Harbor making a late evening arrival for iron ore. Slightly experimental video, played around with a few different camera settings in different segments while filming, trying to get a clearer picture. The first shot is default. Let’s see how it worked out in the end result!

The 1,000ft long Burns Harbor was built in 1980 and is the tallest laker from the waterline with her massive 6-story pilothouse. She has a carrying capacity of 80,900 tons and has set several cargo records during her career. She had a large crowd for her arrival and her crew decided to play around a little, showing off with a couple horn salutes and a spotlight show!
