Ben Kyle is one of the most under-appreciated singer/songwriters I can think of. This is one of his. “God Only Knows” demonstrates the intense feeling of missing home…I would rather be A lover for my ladyA mother for my babyThan a sailor on the sea…as well as powerful anti-war sentiments…God only knows how the wind’s gonna blowAnd how it all flows togetherIf the words we use or the wars we chooseAre gonna change somebody’s life foreverGod only knows While it was written about thirteen years ago, we always seem to be involved in some war or conflict.
