What if you could talk to your mom when she was your age?

This is my take on the viral “I met my younger self for coffee” trend but instead of meeting me, I imagined meeting my mother at 29.

She was already married at 17. She had two kids and had faced loss by the time she was my age. She was soft-spoken, anxious in crowds, and found peace in prayer and her Swami ji. And here I am - 29, unmarried, building a life of my own, far from everything she knew or understands.

This was meant to be my Woman’s Day GIRLTALK video for the year but somehow, i never did.
Until today.

This one’s for the daughters.
For those who’ve grown up watching a silent kind of strength.
For those trying to become their own version of womanhood.
