Making "Fisk" headphone stand

Описание к видео Making "Fisk" headphone stand

Headphone stands in this video are made out of high quality wood, mahogany and maple.
First, chosen boards are planned to desired thickness. Boards are then cut to desired length and width using a table saw. Using heavy duty clamps, peaces are glued together and left to set over night. Dried wooden blocks are then placed on robot table using hot glue. Two hours later, rough headphone stand shape is milled.
After CNC production, sanding is meticulously done, first by orbital sander with progressively finer sandpaper, then by hand to achieve smooth surface. Edges are carefully rounded using a small round router bit. Stands are then polished by hand with fine steel wool followed by cotton cloth.
Finally, 4 coats of oil are applied to reveal natural, live color and tiny glimmering wood particles.
