It’s the heartwarming moment you’ve been waiting for!
Ciabatta and his dad were reunited, and Dad was kind of enough to let us film. (When we took over care for the dog, the name Ciabatta was assigned to him, but we’ve since learned his real name is Kodak. We’ll refer to him as Ciabatta/Kodak going forward on social media so no one gets confused!)
We all cried together and couldn’t be happier to have helped this wonderful dog and wonderful human. Because his dad is a truck driver and on the road for the next few weeks, he can’t take him home while crate-rest is required. He said they normally sleep together every night and eat every meal together, so being without him has been really hard. But he knows his dog needs to heal, as his leg is full of new hardware holding it together.
