Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia (HSP) is a group of inherited disorders characterized by progressive weakness and spasticity of the lower limbs. Key physical examination findings include spastic leg paresis, hyperreflexia, clonus, and extensor plantar responses. Patients often exhibit a stiff, scissoring gait and may have difficulty with balance and coordination. In some cases, additional neurological deficits such as peripheral neuropathy or ataxia may be present.
