🪩 Lyrics – “Reflections Of Us”
I tripped on the floor of a thrift store glass,
You said, “Don’t touch that, it looks like the past.”
But curiosity’s got no brakes,
We both leaned in — the mirror shakes.
Static hum, our hearts collide,
Pulled right through to the other side.
The air was gold, the sky was teal,
We’re in a world that doesn’t feel real.
And standing there were us — but changed,
Same faces, hearts rearranged.
They looked like dreamers out of time,
A copy caught between the lines.
We met our doubles through the mirror light,
Two worlds crashing on a Friday night.
They wore our clothes, but the colors switched,
Her hair was short, his smile was glitched.
In their world, stars fall up not down,
Rain comes in red, grass grows in brown.
I looked at me — he looked back too,
Said, “We’ve both been waiting to meet you.”
Their city floated, ours was gray,
Cars ran on water, skies on delay.
No music loud — they sang in thought,
And love was something that couldn’t be bought.
You stared at her — your mirrored twin,
She said, “In our world, we never win.”
I said, “In ours, we fight to stay,”
She smiled, “Maybe that’s the better way.”
Two hearts tangled in the glass,
Worlds apart but time won’t pass.
Echoed laughs through mirrored halls,
Where truth and fiction trade their walls.
We met our doubles through the mirror light,
Two worlds crashing on a Friday night.
They talked in colors, we spoke in rhyme,
Different clocks but the same old time.
In their world, shadows glow at noon,
And every sun has its twin moon.
I looked at me — he looked back too,
Said, “We’ve both been waiting to meet you.”
We swapped a tear, we swapped a smile,
Said, “Maybe worlds can bend a while.”
Your twin said softly, “Take this key,
When mirrors fade, remember me.”
And when we turned, the glass went dim,
Like waking up from worlds within.
But on the edge of that divide,
We waved goodbye from either side.
Now every mirror makes me stare,
Half-expecting us still there.
In another life, another hue,
Maybe they’re still searching too.
We met our doubles through the mirror light,
Our worlds still touch when the moon shines bright.
They wore our hearts but they beat in sync,
Same souls dancing on different links.
In their sky, love’s a storm of blue,
In ours it rains — but we push through.
Two reflections, one déjà vu,
Guess the mirror showed what love can do.
So if you see your ghost in glass,
Don’t be afraid to let it pass.
‘Cause maybe somewhere, past that hue,
Another me’s still loving you.
