WanderLost Vlog #19: Just an (1) hour train ride outside of Barcelona, Spain is the majestic Santa Maria de Montserrat, a Benedictine monastery, nestled within the Montserrat Mountain Range. Montserrat offers one of the best views of the interior Catalan region. Not only is Montserrat filled with history, cultural, religious significance, and architecture it also houses the Mare de Déu de Montserrat (Black Madonna) and her infant son. Take a cable car or tram to the top of the monastery from a nearby train station. Once there, spend the day exploring, shopping, and eating. For more adventure, hike the Sant Jeroni trail (3 hours round-trip) or Sant Benet (2 hours round-trip) for some exceptional views of the region. Spend the day in awe and leave with memories you'll never forget.
