How to Play G'Na (New Note) [Simply Dhol

Описание к видео How to Play G'Na (New Note) [Simply Dhol

Thank you guys for tuning into Simply Dhol, your online resource for dhol lessons.

A G’Na, respective to drumming is very similar to a flam. A flam is a basic rudiment in drumming that consists of a strike preceded by a grace note. It consists of two notes, played very closely together, so that it sounds like one. The two notes that it consists of is “Ge” and “Na.”

When you hear it, it almost sounds like an offset Dha.

The way you want to play this is, is to have one stick higher than the other, the latter being the tihli, and to drop them pretty much at the same time.
