I Imported A New Car For The Channel!! All The Way From Jersey Island, UK


Welcome back to the channel and another adventure!! About a month or so ago I got with Nick at Open Air Imports and started discussing a new car for the channel. I have been wanting to get another older VW since selling the Polo a while back. So after getting a few options presented to me, I decided on the car in the video (hint, its a Mk3 Golf GTI Colour Concepts edition).

The Mk3 overall is in fairly decent condition. It has under 100k, has all the original parts on it and has not been modified. I think depending on how in depth I want to get with this build, its the perfect starting point and could make for a very cool/rare car build. The Colour Concept was a highly limited edition made in only 5 colors (Flash Red, Salsa Green, Yellow, Jazz Blue Pearl Effect and Black Magic Pearl Effect) and a few of each produced. They featured a leather interior matching the outside color (with Color Concept embossed on the front seats) and the Color Concept badge. 15-inch BBS Solitude alloy wheels were included, as were electric windows, central locking and front seat heating. The Color Concept was available on the Cabriolet and Estate (Variant) version of the Golf as well.

What type of content would you guys like to see with this new car? In my next video I will most likely be installing the KWs and going through the car, performing some basic maintenance and checking it over so that I can drive it and enjoy it for now. What would you like to see done to the car? 12v swap? 3.2 swap? Maybe a 2.5 from the Mk5? Keep the body stock? Do a cool 90s body kit? Restore the interior to its former glory? The possibilities are endless.
