BROOKES: AOK Sessions

Brookes is a band that isn't afraid to tap into nostalgia of the millennials growing up in the early 2000's and blending in a new age sound to their music repertoire, resulting in a genre that I can simply describe as nostalgia pop alt rock (really funny how the 2000's is now a nostalgic era).

They came out to AOK Records in 2022 to produce their EP 'Modern Antics' that they composed and arranged within 6 months releasing it within the same year. An impressive feat that not many bands in Kuching can say they have achieved all while still studying in university. Now it's 2024 and all of them have gotten "professional" jobs. 2 out of 4 of them are working in Bintulu now and they took this opportunity to come back to Kuching to just get together and do an AOK Sessions before they go back to their day jobs- never to see each other again for another few months, maybe even years.
