Описание к видео How to find meaning in everyday sounds | Sebastian Sequoiah-Grayson | TEDxUNSW Salon

How often do you stop and listen? How do you assign meaning to the content in “art”? What is the intersection between music, the environment and our interpretation? Putting microphones onto the streets of Sydney, Sebastian’s “The Sound of Meaning” will explore how we prescribe meaning to gestures within art and creation. Sebastian Sequoiah-Grayson is an accomplished academic and Senior Lecturer in Epistemics at the School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Oxford, and his expertise spans the philosophy of information, human cognition, and logic. His research interests extend to the philosophy of music, where he explores the intersection of sound, meaning, and sonic gestures. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
