GERMANY | ESSEN | The Shopping City - Perfect for strolling, shopping, dining and relaxing

Essen is located in West Germany and with its about 600.000 inhabitants one of the ten largest cities in Germany. In the Ruhr-Area Essen is called "The Shopping City".

We are starting our walk on the largest (one km) shopping street in Essen, the "Kettwiger Strasse".

In addition to the classic chains, there are numerous retailers here who give the city center their own profile. There are department stores, bakeries, boutiques, fast food, ice cream parlors, jewelry stores, and the Lichtburg, one of the most beautiful cinemas in the Ruhr area.

In the end of the walk we are standing in front of the Shopping Canyon "Limbecker Platz".

With over 70,000 square meters of retail space and more than 200 shops, Limbecker Platz is one of the largest shopping centers in Germany. Another video with a walking tour inside the canyon will follow soon.
