The Jorth Gar garrison of the New Varangian Guard Inc, living history reenactment society, presents 2014's Viking Culture Day. Displaying many aspects of Viking culture and history, from their crafts and merchandise to their skills at arms and equipment. Showcasing wood turning, weaving, blacksmithing, fletching, traditional foods, beautiful merchandise, sharp weapon cutting, archery, axe and javelin throwing, single combat and field battle tactics of the Varangian Guardsmen and other viking warriors using their spears, axes, swords, rhomphaias and drapanas.
