Internal disputes between the various band members meant that Southern Comfort's original 1985 recording of "Let's Have Some Fun" was only finally released in the Fall of 1988.

Sadly, by that time, the R&B world had moved on and the New Jack Swing era was in full flow. The A&R guys at NYC-based York Street Records were unable to get the airplay that the track so clearly deserved.

The band's one and only LP was picked up some years later by Expontion in the UK, but was only released on CD. It's thought that less than 200 copies of the original 7" are still in circulation, and it's been over 5 years since one has appeared for sale on Discogs...
