welcome to sudden strike four today we're tackling operation plunder. this is the 7th and final mission of the allied campaign in the original sudden strike 4 which is also available on the DLC game as well. our goal in this mission is to obtain a three-star rating. obtaining a three-star rating in operation plunder will be very difficult. However, we will walk through different steps and tactics to obtain a three-star rating. first off we will discuss how to minimize casualties and clear out enemy resistance in the forest. Next, we will have to figure out a way to take out long-range enemy artillery and then debate whether or not it's worth capturing the artillery or destroying it as the tank Hunter metal is worth quite a few points and very helpful and obtaining a three-star rating.
After completing the first phase of the mission we will have to attack on the southern part here we will walk through some pitfalls as well as explain when is an appropriate time to use airstrikes and where airstrikes can be very effective. after clearing that out we will have to build upon tune bridge and then attack some heavily fortified positions. in this spot we will discuss the pros and cons of certain tactics and look for a way to try to flank the enemy tanks. after that we will have to deal with randomly getting attacked from certain spots however we will discuss where exactly to find that and how one can set up a counter defense. finally we will make our way to the castle which is the last part of the mission. the area surrounding it and the castle itself is heavily defended so airstrikes will not be a good idea with many anti-air guns in place. in addition to that they're also many different tank fortifications as well as a heavily armored tank division that will randomly attack us after we've activated a certain point. oh and by the way there's two spots in the woods north of the castle that have heavily armored infantry hidden waiting to counterattack. that being said operation plunder is beatable for three stars as we do for the support doctrine here but also have done for the infantry doctrine and armor doctrine as well. if one is looking for more tips and strategies in this game we have every single three star mission in a playlist listed below and some missions with multiple doctrines such as this one there's a operation plunder for both the infantry doctrine and the armored doctrine which are in that playlist as well.
