Colle di Sampeyre from Stroppo (Italy) - Indoor Cycling Training

Colle di Sampeyre from Stroppo is another excellent Italian climb. It is nestled in the mountains close to world-class rides such as Colle Fauniera and Colle dell'Agnello. Even though this ride is not as famous, it is definitely a ride worth the effort. At the beginning of the climb, you ride through a couple of villages. Then you venture into a more secluded area. From here you ride on a very narrow road with little traffic. It is not your typical climb, where you just climb… climb… climb... Instead, it has a few descents and irregular gradients. As you get above the timberline, you have extremely beautiful scenery. The last segment of the climb includes riding on a ridge with spectacular views to both sides of the mountain. The climb has been used several times by the Giro d’Italia.

Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride... We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider's breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.
