Описание к видео Donsö in World War II

This is the story of Donsö during World War II, told by the men who experienced it first hand. Eleven fishermen from the island were killed by mines placed by Germany and Sweden in the Kattegat. They were part of the 2 000 Swedish seamen who lost their lives and never returned home again.

The film tells the stories that many Furetank employees were told growing up, about how this vast and horrific war affected the small island of Donsö.

The film Donsö - En del av andra världskriget was produced by Joel Lindgren / Joelfilm for Donsöstiftelsen.
