Mixing Mica Powders With Gloss Gel Medium ✨ DIY Metallic Paints! ✨ Acrylic Pouring Tutorial

Описание к видео Mixing Mica Powders With Gloss Gel Medium ✨ DIY Metallic Paints! ✨ Acrylic Pouring Tutorial

Have you ever wondered HOW to turn a mica powder or powder pigment into an actual paint that can be used for fluid art? Let me show you!

Today I’m using Liquitex Basics Gloss Gel Medium (regular, not extra thick) as the base for these custom paint colors. It behaves essentially like a regular tube paint in how you use it, and is thick enough to allow for plenty of mix-ins like floetrol or glue.

I’m mixing a highly-concentrated metallic paint that can then be thinned down with floetrol, glue, water, or pouring medium, so I add a lot of powder into the gel. 3/4 tsp. mica powder per 1oz. of gloss gel worked great!

My mica powders are from Let’s Resin! I’m using their color-shifting chameleon powders, which are SUPER fun.
