If your IP Address was exposed to the public you may be wondering if you can get hacked... If someone has your IP address, they can technically hack you, but not many and not much. If they have the right tools and did it the right way they can see your device, browser, they can get your approximate location, and find out which ISP you use (Internet Service Provider). Most hackers do not know how to get in through the backdoor of devices, understand port weaknesses, etc. What most hackers would typically do is simply download tools or know a place to go to send a DDoS attack or to scare you in order to attempt to blackmail.

What to do… Call your ISP provider if you’re not really tech savvy explain the situation to them. They’ll likely set you up with a new IP Address and maybe can help ease your mind. Get some security on your device. It is very hard for payloads and malicious scripts to be on your device without the top security softwares detecting them. Use a VPN or proxy.
