Yulia Lipnitskaya is a former Russian figure skater who totally shook up the scene at a young age with her incredible talent. Born on June 5, 1998, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, she first caught the world’s eye during the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. At just 15, Yulia made history as one of the youngest skaters to ever win an Olympic gold medal, delivering an unforgettable performance for Team Russia. Her iconic routine to Schindler’s List, wearing that famous red costume, is still considered one of the best in figure skating history.

Some of her top achievements:

2014 Sochi Winter Olympics - Gold in Team Event (at only 15!).
2014 European Champion - Dazzled judges and the audience with her grace and technical skill.
2012 ISU World Junior Championships - Took gold here and showed the world what she was capable of.
2013-2014 ISU Grand Prix Series - Scored multiple medals, becoming one of the brightest young stars on the ice.
But Yulia’s journey wasn’t all smooth. By 2017, at just 19, she decided to retire due to health issues and the intense pressures of being an elite athlete.
