hiiii thanks for watching my silly little video. as promised, here's an explanation of the combo.

MAIN CARDS:
*Experimental Confectioner (makes rat token whenever a food is sacrificed)
*Witch's Oven (taps to sacrifices a creature for a food token)
*Ashnod's Altar (sacrifice a creature for two colourless mana)
*Scavenger's Talent (target player mills two cards whenever you sacrifice a permanent)

RECOMMENDED CARDS:
(fill out the rest with whatever you want, but here's what i like)
*Corrupted Conviction (sacrifice a creature to draw two, yes please) (or Village Rites or Vampiric Rites or anything similar or just use all of them)
*Insatiable Avarice (puts any card you want on top of your deck)
*Snarling Gorehound (free surveils)
*Vengeful Bloodwitch (if you want to be cringe and win by reducing your opponent's health to zero like a boring loser /lh)
*Cauldron Familiar (great fodder, easy to bring back by sacrificing food tokens, which causes more Scavenger's procs. i prefer something cheaper like Infestation Sage in early game but go with whatever)
*Sheoldred, Whispering One (because why tf not. you'll have the mana from Ashnod's and is a free revive and great disruption every turn)
*Eaten Alive (exile your opponent's creature and sacrifices your own! win-win!)

COMBO:
1. for the early game, focus on looking for and playing at least one Oven, one Confectioner, one Scavenger's, and something to reliably sacrifice creatures without tapping (ideally Ashnod's Altar, but could be Vampiric Rites). an early Scavenger's and Oven is key.
2. once you have at least one Confectioner, Ashnod's, and Scavenger's, you can do the loop, but it can only loop as many times as you have food tokens. (formula below).
3a. sacrifice one of Confectioner's rat tokens with Ashnod's Altar (Scavenger's procs to mill two cards)
3b. use the mana generated to sacrifice a food token (Scavenger's procs again, Confectioner procs to make a new rat token)
3c. repeat from 3a until you run out of food tokens
4. end turn and apologise to your opponent. they do not have a card to draw at the start of their turn, so they lose.

FORMULA:
M: the maximum amount of cards you can mill in your turn
F: the amount of food tokens you spend for the Ashnod's - Confectioner loop
S2: the amount of Scavenger's Talent you have at at least level 2
S3: the amount of Scavenger's Talent you have at at least level 3
R: the amount of fodder permanents you have at your end step
(assumes you have the cards available for step 3)

M = (4 x S2) x F + min{⌊(R/3)⌋, S3} x 6

⌊x⌋ means to round 'x' down to the next lowest integer
min{x, y} means to take the minimum value within the curly brackets

TIPS:
*to optimise food production, try to sacrifice a creature on both your and your opponent's turns once you get at least one Scavenger's. its level 1 ability can only trigger once per turn, so we can get more food with one use of Witch's Oven than we would get on our own turn. if you only have on instant-speed sacrifice ability (Oven, Corrupted Conviction), then save it and use your sorcery-speed sacrifices on your own turn (Vampiric Rites).
*use Ashnod's Altar's mana generation to pay for colourless mana costs. save your swamps for the black mana costs so you can do more each turn.
*cheap creatures that create a creature or creatures when they die (Infestation Sage, my beloved) are invaluable for early game before you draw get Experimental Confectioner / Witch's Oven / Scavenger's Talent.
*if you have Sheoldred, Whispering One on the battlefield (or some other way to get cards from your own graveyard), you can choose to make yourself mill some cards to find what you want.
*Vampiric Rites and Ashnod's Altar are my two cards that let me sacrifice a creature and don't have to be tapped. ideally you would have two out for the option to choose between generating card draw or mana as you need. Vampiric Rites is mana-costly, but so so good. the best combo is using them together. to use Ashnod's to get the colourless mana and cutting your Swamp usage in half.
