A sparring bout using the formidable halberd. These are heavy rubber heads by Arcem (supplied by Tempus Fugitives) fitted on 35x35mm octagonal shafts, total length of halberd is 7' or approx 230cm, and they are therefore accurate in size and weight to the original weapons, and so despite having rubber heads must still be used with care. This was the first time we have used them and are yet to run any classes teaching this weapon, though we have previously worked through Meyer's staff which is related, and have started to add some halberd repertoire.
