Hey everyone it's been awhile, finally found some time to edit some more videos I'll be uploading my Taipei series next, I plan on editing this series at a faster pace this time around. If you've been keeping up with my vlog series I just left Tokyo and we're now headed to Taipei, Taiwan. This is my first time here and I'm pretty excited to explore another country. So if you're planning on going to Taipei and it's your first time, this series may be for you if you're wondering what to eat or what to do in Taipei.

First things first we're going to grab a sim card, unlimited 4G sim cards are pretty cheap here and can be picked up at the airport. The next thing we're going to grab is the Easycard which is transportation card similar to Suica, Pasmo, T-money card in Japan and South Korea if you are familiar with it. It's pretty handy and you can recharge it at convenience stores and at the train stations. They offer a unlimited transportation past for X amount of days, but I don't actually use these cards often enough to make it worth it.

We're going to take the train and head over to Taipei to meet my Airbnb host and unpack a bit. The place that I'm staying at is very affordable it was less than $15 USD per night. It's been a long day, but we're going to head out and get some food at the original Din Tai Fung location on Xinyi Road. You may have heard of Din Tai Fung before, they have locations all around the world and I've have yet to eat here. In order to eat here you'll most likely have to get a number at the front of the restaurant and wait, but luckily for me I was able to get a table right away since I was by myself. I don't mind eating at a shared table since there were so many people waiting ahead of me. The meal here was fantastic and I highly recommend you coming here if it's your first time in Taipei. Afterward we'll do a bit of shopping at wellcome supermarket which is pretty convenient since they are open 24 hours and have many locations.
