2007 Mazda Miata NC - Front brake and shock replacement - Part 1

Penelope Cruz, my new Japanese girlfriend, is going to get some love today!

Today we are diving off into replacing the brakes and shocks on a 2007 Mazda Miata NC. Come along with us as disassemble things, getting ready to UPGRADE everything with aftermarket parts to improve performance and replace worn out components.

The brakes were BAD! I mean, like REALLY bad... We found that it had the original Mazda factory brake pads on it from 2007. After 93,000 miles, you would think somebody would have at least replaced the brake pads! But you will get to see the damage caused by neglect...

Earlier, we got to see that poor Penelope had been run off into a ditch, snarfeling up a bunch of clay and rocks into her underside mouth, thus destroying the AC coils and depositing a healthy amount of mud and gravel all over the underside of the car. After seeing the condition of the brakes, it is no small wonder how she ended up being driven off into a ditch and then being parked....

That's OK, that just means we have the opportunity to go and bring her back, put her back on the road and be better than new! Penelope will be back on the street again in no time...
