That’s when I realized everything I heard about the IB was wrong. The advice was wrong. The memes were wrong. I had to swallow some difficult truths and instead apply completely new tactics.

There were strategies I wasn’t taught in school that then allowed me to achieve a perfect 45 while having an entire day per week for entertainment, 8 hours of sleep, social life, fitness, and achieving other life goals. Not only that but I got accepted into my top university at Wharton and UPenn Engineering. International Baccalaureate success can be done.

I found two ways you can be part of the 0.31% of students who get a max score of 45. One, you sacrifice your soul and work 24/7. All 45 IB people I know embraced this to a certain degree. The problem is that most people think that this is the only way. That right there is one of the largest lies.

Because it’s not the only way, the second way is to do everything else you want to do outside of the IB and still score a 45. I managed to get a 45 in the May 2021 exam route by doing the latter. How to get 45 points in IB. All about IB points.

Let’s take a step back. You must understand that your habits determine how you think, what you do, and, thus, what results you make in your life. To achieve IB 45 results, and just any goal, you need to have the habits that turn you into the type of person who gets a 45.

If you have procrastination habits, distraction habits, and other unhealthy habits will be impossible for you to reach that 45 with little effort. Why? Because the ideal 45 student with free time outside of school has as little of these bad habits as possible. It’s not one thing that makes you successful. Rather it’s a combination of many small factors that compound into success.
