Keeping the Auto ISO in Manual mode is one of the effective ways to shoot professional photos using the manual mode.

Normally, when you use manual exposure mode, you need to select and set the Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO to get the ideal exposure by looking on to the exposure scale of the camera.

When you want to take control of the DOF, you select appropriate Aperture and change the Shutter speed and ISO to set the cursor in the exposure scale at the centre.

When you want to take control of the motion effects, you select the appropriate Shutter speed and change the Aperture and ISO to set the cursor in the exposure scale at the centre.

This is a cumbersome process. Particularly when you are taking quick shots.

You can make your manual exposure easy by using auto ISO.

If you are a beginner but still want to use the Manual mode for some reason, you can set the ISO only Auto and select the aperture and shutter speed you want, the camera will automatically select the ISO and give you the ideal exposure.

If you want the make the exposure brighter or darker, then you can push the curser in the exposure scale towards the plus side for a brighter picture and towards the minus side to make the picture darker.

By this, you can set the desired Aperture and shutter speed in the manual mode and have a quick shot.
