A Hardcore run: Death = Delete.

I'm not a fan of Carbuncle personally, and I wanted another one to summon. I knew there were two different NPC, one that takes you to the low-level version and one that takes you to the high-level version. However, I wasn't sure which one was which, and I chose the high-level one.

So this run managed to get 18 of the 22 jobs to level 99 without a death.

I did this to get a chance to see all the jobs. Mostly, I would likely only play Ranger and not even bother with any other job, so I decided to do this run.

Throughout this run, I did not use any Subjobs at any point. I just leveled one job up, switched to the next, and so on.

I would not recommend this run to anyone.

I recommend playing the game and enjoying it how it is meant to be played. It will be rather enjoyable while going through the story.

Powering through each job is a lot of work and very tiresome.

Will I ever attempt this run again?
I have temptations to do this run again and make it through all the jobs. For me to even bother to do this run, it has to be during the yearly anniversary, when they give you an experience boost and the experience ring. So May is the only time I will ever do this run. Depending on whether I have the time to. There is another event in December that gives the same amount of experience. The only time I would bother with it is in May. The grind is too long without that experience boost to be able to focus on it.

Final Fantasy XI: The story is delightful, and I read aloud every part of it that I got to in this playthrough. If I ever end up doing it again, I will read the story once more aloud.

This run took place in April/May of 2021. So, it has been a bit of time, but it was still a memorable journey.
