朱家角古镇位于上海市西部的青浦区，紧靠淀山湖风景区。上海市首批四大文化名镇之一，也被命名为中国历史文化名镇和最美特色小镇50强。

朱家角拥有得天独厚的自然环境和便捷的水路交通，曾经是江南的商业巨镇。清朝初年，朱家角米业突起，带动了百业兴旺，老店名店林立，南北百货，各业齐全，到了民国期间，全镇商家有千户之多，夜市闹如白昼。逢年过节，更有外地商贩前来赶集，酒家茶楼几乎日夜营业，点心小吃通宵达旦，成千上百的船只涌来，导致朱家角的河道也经常交通阻塞。
朱家角拥有迷人的自然风光，更具古镇特色的人文景观，古镇面积庞大，漕港河将朱家角分成两半，北岸井亭港，南岸北大街，两岸遍布蜿蜒曲折的小巷，花岗岩石的街面，大量的明清建筑及众多的历史遗迹。这里有江南地区最大的石拱桥-放生桥，江南古镇最热闹的古老街道-北大街，有不同类型的佛教庙宇20多处，还有道教、天主教、基督教、伊斯兰教等宗教场所，宗教活动也是历史悠久。
