Описание к видео Remastered, Uncovered: Curator Dr. Michael Chagnon on the Aga Khan Museum's Fall 2020 exhibition

Discover the story of Remastered, a tech-enriched celebration of Iranian, Ottoman, and Mughal Indian manuscript paintings in the Aga Khan Museum’s Collection.

As Curator Dr. Michael Chagnon explains, the Museum’s Fall 2020 special exhibition focuses on timeless stories of courage, love, and living well — stories that can provide us with much-needed strength and solace in times of great uncertainty.

The story of Remastered is also one of community collaboration. The Museum worked with Ryerson University Library to develop Remastered’s digital interactives. These experiences make Remastered the most innovative and immersive exhibition of Islamic manuscript paintings ever to have been assembled.

The Remastered exhibition is presented in partnership with Ryerson University Library, with holographic displays generously loaned by Looking Glass Factory.

Production note: This video was filmed in Fall 2020 before the introduction of new provincial COVID-19 orders requiring museums in Toronto to close their doors temporarily. Enhanced health and safety measures were in place to protect the featured artists and speakers, the production crew, and other Museum visitors and staff.
