May 2024 RETAKE: Soft Suds Car Wash & Detail Center

NOTICE: I filmed this wash back in March, but didn’t upload it until now. And nothing really has changed since I was last here, unless the first set of wraps were put back in, but I doubt it. So this can still be considered a May 2024 retake.

Here is a 2024 retake of Dracut’s second car wash, Soft Suds! This location seems to be on the “newer” side as the buildings for both the self service and tunnel washes don’t look extremely old, but they don’t look super new either. If I had to guess, this car wash was built in the early 2000’s.

Like Dracut Car Wash, the property offers a expressway exterior tunnel wash with FormulaFinish chemicals, 3 self service bays, 1 oversized self service bay, a 24 hour touch free automatic and multiple vacuum and fragrance stations. The touch free automatic was installed in the late summer of 2018, but didn’t open up until the end of September I believe. It replaced a second oversized vehicle self service bay.

The tunnel wash currently features early-2000’s Sonny’s equipment, with the frame being painted blue. When I visited today, the first set of wraps were removed, but the arms for them remained. So I’m guessing they either stopped using them or they are getting replaced? Who knows. The wash also has a set of side washers, a converted mitter frame to rinse-wax applications and a combination of newer and older Sonny’s dryers.

Comments: drying quality can be improved, but besides that, this wash did a very nice job! The dryers actually stayed on for this wash, unlike the other Dracut wash where they shut off then turned back on lol. So yeah, very nice wash!
