For thirty years—especially the last ten—the Canadian federal government has grown into a runaway machine: expanding endlessly, yet doing nothing. The number of federal employees keeps rising, while efficiency and accountability continue to decline. Meanwhile, our neighbor to the south, the United States, has pulled far ahead, while we’ve been drained, asleep at the wheel.

Taxpayer money is being wasted, and in return, we get more excuses and more inefficiency. Some politicians sit on fat salaries, but do nothing. The system has been hijacked to serve the few. Power is abused, the middle class is being eroded—this isn’t a mistake, it’s a strategy. Without a middle class, there is no voice of opposition.

At the same time, immigration has surged without a clear plan. Many newcomers can’t find jobs that match their skills, while housing, education, and healthcare systems struggle to keep up. The result? Rising unemployment, public frustration, and growing division. Crime rates have climbed, and communities feel less safe. Good companies are disappearing. Innovation is shrinking. Canada’s economy leans more and more on raw resources, while our global competitiveness fades.

Canadians, remember: politicians are public servants, not rulers. Their power comes from you—not to be used to control you.

It’s time to stand up. Call your MPs. Tell them you’re not happy, that you’re watching, and that you demand change. Don’t let them live comfortably while you pay the price of silence.
