240926 Oath-taking for our new officer-students

A total of 120 fourth-year students concluded their by no means easy bachelor years with the traditional Oath-taking ceremony on Thursday, 26 September 2024. In turn, the students of the 161st promotion Social & Military Sciences (SSMW), the 176th promotion Polytechnics (POL) and the various promotions of the Special Division (SDIV) swore “fidelity to the King, obedience to the Constitution and the laws of the Belgian people”, holding in their left hand the Belgian flag, indicating that they would serve and protect the nation. The ceremony also symbolised their transition to officer rank, making them sublieutenant or ship ensign second class.
