These Redwings were filmed eating berries in the winter at Chiswick House and Gardens Trust. The Redwing is the smallest true Thrush in the United Kingdom. The species is considered locally vulnerable in the British Isles due to the fact that less than 0.0005% of the wintering population breeds there, largely as a result of the destructive effect of historical agricultural expansion and industrialisation. Fortunately, the undisturbed forests of the northern Taiga offer breeding grounds to the millions of migrant Redwings that frequent the UK over the winter months.
