Here i am walking around in Berlin city center and making walking tour videos in Berlin.

Ice skating, tower trumpeters and log cabin fun. The wintery Christmas market at Alexanderplatz is just as diverse as our capital.

Christmas cheer reigns on one of Berlin's most famous squares when the wooden stalls decked out with lights transform Alexanderplatz into a winter village, redolent of chestnuts and punch in December. On these days, the hustle and bustle of the square gives way to the cosy, wintery atmosphere of the Berlin Christmas market.

The largest Erzgebirge pyramid in Europe with its pink lighting is the visual highlight of the Advent market on Alexanderplatz. Enjoy mulled wine and Thuringian bratwurst on the ground floor, while the tower brass band on the second floor provides a musical Christmas atmosphere. You can admire the craftsmanship of the exhibitors at 100 stands and enjoy culinary delights.

Tips for your visit to the Christmas market on Alexanderplatz:

You and your children can take a leisurely spin on the roller skating rink in the middle of the square. Get into the warmth and have a good time in St Nicholas' covered party house.
Combine your Christmas market stroll with a visit to the museums on Museum Island. Or take advantage of the central location and do some last-minute Christmas shopping in the surrounding shops or the Alexa shopping centre.
