White Gold Of Southeast Asia: Unveiling Myanmar's Rubber Farming Secrets
The rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) is a tropical tree native to the Amazon rainforest in South America. It is commonly grown in Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Rubber trees are famous for producing latex, a white liquid that flows from the trunk when scraped. The latex is then processed to create natural rubber, an important raw material in many industries, especially the production of tires and other rubber products. Rubber trees need a hot, humid and rainy climate to grow well, and it usually takes 5 to 7 years to reach the stage where the latex can be tapped. In today's video, join us in discovering the secrets of how Myanmar farmers grow and harvest this plant known as the white gold of Southeast Asia
