**About this Video**

In this video I go into how to create shapes and then dynamically display data in those shapes using a drop down list and combo box form. Here is the step by step process:

1) Use the VLOOKUP formulal with your combo box control on your calculations tab to looking and find information relating to the item selected in the drop down box in the Excel Dashboard. Use name ranges then for the values on the calculations tab so you can easily use them on the dashboard.

2) Build your visual dynamic shape display by adding the shapes you'd like with the text and information you want to display on the Excel dashboard. Once the shapes are there, you will select the Excel shape you want the shape to dynamically display and type in the formula box =(name range). Once you do this you can hit enter and it will automatically refer to the value on the calculations tab that will change based on the drop down selection made by the user.

3) After all of the shapes are dynamically displaying, you'll want to then freeze and lock shapes in Excel dashboard. This will allow the values to not be moved or edited by the user. They shapes will be locked and frozen. To do this use the review tab and then select protect worksheet.
