I try out the CMIzapper Tiresias GPUkiller SPI ROM modification module.

The module is attached to the SPI ROM IC (U6100) and rewrites the SPI ROM to turn off the dedicated GPU so that it uses the internal graphics only, this is to work around a design flaw in the 2011 15" and 17" models where the GPU is prone to failure.

The module used is for the 820-2914 board, that is found in the 2011 MacBook Pro 17", I will also be doing this to a 15" model soon which uses a slightly different module, so if you want to see that video make sure you subscribe and click the bell icon if you have not already done so, to make sure you don't miss seeing it.
